Please read the following terms carefully before confirming your booking. By paying for your party, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking & Payment
- The base price is $250.00 which includes three (3) hours private use of the Party Room for up to ten (10) children and two to eight (2-8) accompanying adults.
- A maximum of 20 children may attend.
- Additional children are charged at $10.00 per child (up to the 20-child limit).
- Payment in full is required at the time of booking to secure your party date and time.
- A 10% discount on parties is available for National Dinosaur Museum Members.
- Party bookings are available Saturdays and Sundays, with sessions of 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- Parties are not available during the ACT school holidays or on public holidays.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made 14 days or more before the booking date will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made 7 to 13 days prior will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days prior are non-refundable.
- Rescheduling requests may be considered with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to availability.
- In exceptional circumstances (such as serious illness or emergency), refunds or rescheduling may be considered at the Museum’s discretion.
3. Age & Attendance
- Parties are suitable for children aged 6 to 12 years.
- The number of attending children must not exceed 20 under any circumstances.
- Infants under one (1) year old do not count toward the maximum number of children.
- At least two (2) supervising adults must remain on site for the duration of the party.
4. Add-ons & Catering
- Optional add-ons (such as a Guided Tour, Party Activities, and Catering) may be purchased during online checkout.
- If not purchasing catering, you may bring your own food, drinks, cake, and decorations.
5. Supervision
- Please note that Museum staff (Dino Ranger Tour Guides and Party Hosts) facilitate tours and activities but do not provide child supervision.
- Supervising adults are responsible for the behaviour and safety of all children throughout the event.
6. Venue Use & Conduct
- The Party Room is available for 3 hours only.
- If the room is not vacated at the end of the booked time, an overtime fee of $25.00 per 15 minutes may apply.
- Please leave the Party Room clean and tidy. Use the bins provided and wipe down surfaces.
- No party poppers, piñatas, sparklers or confetti are permitted.
- No alcohol or pets (except for registered assistance animals) are allowed.
- Decorations may be attached with blu tack only, no tape, pins or adhesive that may damage surfaces.
7. Museum Access & Safety
- Party guests are welcome to explore the Museum during their booking under adult supervision.
- Running, climbing on displays, or disruptive behaviour is not permitted.
- The Museum reserves the right to ask any person to leave, or request that all party guests return to the allocated party room for the remainder of the party if behaviour poses a risk to safety, property, or other visitors.
8. Changes & Liability
- The Museum reserves the right to adjust or substitute activities if a staff member becomes unavailable or circumstances change.
- While staff take care to provide a safe environment, the Museum is not responsible for loss, injury, or damage arising from misuse of facilities or unsupervised children.
