Please read the following terms carefully before confirming your booking. By paying for your party, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking & Payment
- The base price is $500.00 which includes three (3) hours private use of the deck for up to 50 participants
- Payment of $100 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your party date and time.
- A 10% discount on parties is available for National Dinosaur Museum Members.
- Party bookings are available Saturdays and Sundays, with sessions of 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
- Parties are not available during the ACT school holidays or on public holidays.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made 14 days or more before the booking date will receive a full refund of deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days prior are non-refundable.
- Rescheduling requests may be considered with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to availability.
- In exceptional circumstances (such as serious illness or emergency), refunds or rescheduling may be considered at the Museum’s discretion.
4. Add-ons
- Optional add-ons (such as a Guided Tour) may be purchased during online checkout.
- You may provide your own food and drink for the event, including ordering food to the museum.
5. Supervision
- Please note that Museum staff (Dino Ranger Tour Guides and Party Hosts) facilitate tours and activities but do not provide child supervision.
- Supervising adults are responsible for the behaviour and safety of all children throughout the event.
6. Venue Use & Conduct
- The deck is available for 3 hours only.
- If the deck is not vacated at the end of the booked time, an overtime fee of $25.00 per 15 minutes may apply.
- Please leave the deck clean and tidy. Use the bins provided and ensure tables and chairs are neatly arranged
- No party poppers, piñatas, sparklers or confetti are permitted.
- No alcohol or pets (except for registered assistance animals) are allowed
7. Museum Access & Safety
- Event participants are permitted to explore both the museum gallery and garden during their booking. Additionally, all guests are allowed to remain in the museum for the remainder of opening hours, even after the hire period is over
- Running, climbing on displays, or disruptive behaviour is not permitted.
- The Museum reserves the right to ask any person to leave, or request that all party guests return to the deck for the remainder of the party if behaviour poses a risk to safety, property, or other visitors.
8. Changes & Liability
- The Museum reserves the right to adjust or substitute activities if a staff member becomes unavailable or circumstances change.
- While staff take care to provide a safe environment, the Museum is not responsible for loss, injury, or damage arising from misuse of facilities or unsupervised children.
